Re: Audi rim (17" made in germany) + toyo winter tire
Hey deepblue, you need to tell your potential customers the centre hub bore diameter. The offset is how far off centre the wheel is - sort of. The lower the offset, the more the wheels are located to the outside of the vehicle. The larger the offset, the more inside or tucked in they are. The wider wheel requires a greater offset to keep the wheels more or less where they should be underneath the car. There's tons of infor on that stuff on the net.
What everyone is asking is: What is centre bore. This is about the same as the diameter of the vehicle axles, but necessarily. My last 2 Audis had same centre bore of 57.1mm. many newer Audi are now using 66.6 mm centre bore. If you look at the very centre of the wheel, where the wheel caps with the Audi logo go, this is the wheel centre bore. If you have a car with 66.6 CB, then a 57.1 mm CB would never, ever fit. If you have a car with 57.1 mm CBm then you can use 57.1 CB wheels or 66.6 mm CB wheels along with centering rings. I really don'y recommend anyone use centering rings on their Audi. Trust me, you won't be happy. BTW, I'm 99.99% certain that your 2003 A4 has 57.1 mm centre hub and that they are 17" x 7.5" , w/57.1mm CB and 35 mm offset.
