2.7T water/meth, TB kit, DV's etc
hey guys, my S4 was recently written off, but not before i ordered a bunch of parts for installation this summer. all parts are brand new in box, ordered from VAST tuning. they will fit your B5 S4, 2.7T allroad, or C5 A6 2.7T.
i have provided links to the items for sale, so you can see what VAST is selling them for. i will sell them for the same price, but i will pay the shipping. we can likely work out a better deal if you take more than one item.
i have the following:
One VAST water meth injection kit. price - $349https://vastperformance.com/index.ph...tion-2-7t.html
One complete timing belt/water pump service kit - $314https://vastperformance.com/index.ph...-kit-2-7t.html
One stock Throttle Body Boot - $29https://vastperformance.com/index.ph...-2-7t-tbb.html
TWO bosch 710n diverter valves - $79 (for both)https://vastperformance.com/index.ph...1-8t-2-7t.html
One Mann Air Filter - $12
If anyone is interested in taking the whole lot, i am sure we can work out a mutually beneficial price.

what's the difference between this timing belt kit and the ecs one? this one is much more expensive! (nothing against you!)

The kit I am selling has a water pump with a metal impeller as opposed to the failure prone plastic impellers (which i had fail on my old Passat), also, the kit I am selling also has two parts the ECS kit does not have:
Timing belt tensioner damper
Timing belt lever
is this difference worth $125 extra? that is up to you, but consider this... if you order from ECS, that $190 kit will also cost you about $50 shipping, as well as duty and taxes, so will likely arrive at about $300, whereas i am offering free shipping.
if you are interested, make me an offer.

Say it ain't so, Jordon I never even got to see this beauty!
I would never install a plastic-impeller water pump on a VAG car - they fail a lot, and it could cost you a cylinder head, or even entire engine.
Can you let me know what kind of computer the meth-injection system uses? I see they use a MAP-based controller, but what is the max PSI it can run? Also, shoot me some details on what you can buy your car back for - I might pick it up if you don't want it!

yeah, i had a little run of bad luck... after sgi wrote off the car, i went out to toronto to see about a replacement S4, but the guy didn't show for the appointment... went camping instead lol!
soooooooo... i bought an E39 540i with the M-sport package (was thinking about grabbing an M5, but changed my mind)... so then, on my way back to saskie, i hit a freakin rabbit and put a hole in the front bumper. still waiting on the repair to finishl. fml.
anyway, not exactly sure what the answers are to your questions about the water meth kit, so i sent an email to VAST and asked them... when i have an answer i will pass it on. i know the pump is 250psi, but i think you are asking what is the max boost you can run with this kit?
my kit has the two 190cc/min nozzles. do you know someone who is looking for a kit? afaik, the vast kit is a rebranded devils own kit.

well, i am sure this doesn't answer your questions, but i asked them word for word as you asked, and this is the response i got from VAST:
"it actually is MAP based, you're correct..
it is able to be set at a start spray pressure of about half of your peak boost (let's say 7-12 psi or so) and then progressively ramp up the spray to your target "full on" pressure (we typically set it 2-3 psi below your max boost pressure)."

540i's rock! It is a manual though, right?
Yeah, they don't answer their phone either (they say as much on their site)! I need to know what PSI I can run up to, and if it's based off the stock MAP sensor, or if they have their own sensor? In short, can I run it on a car boosting to 30PSI? Devil's Own has a ton of different versions of their controller, so I need to know exactly which one it is. I'm running the stock MAP sensor in my 225TT (I have a MAF-referenced injection system, but want to switch to boost-referenced). If I can use it to 30PSI, I have a buddy going to S'toon on Saturday, so he could pick it up for me.
Sorry to hear about the bad luck, Jordon! My experience buying a car from a couple in Toronto was extraordinary - they picked me up from the airport, took me out for dinner and drinks, and even tried to hook me up with one of their girlfriends. It was like the Twilight Zone for used car buying!

Yes, it is the 6 speed manual (and being the M-sport, it has the same gearing a the M5)
anyway, it does run off the stock map sensor. Also, vast seems to think that 30 psi would be fine, though it should be mentioned that the max psi setting on the controller is 20psi, so after that point, it would no longer be progressive (ie, it would be spraying at max from 20psi on).
I also just noticed a typo above; the pump is 150psi, not 250psi.
The kit instructions state that the pump is a "150psi Shurflo Pump", with a "2.5 Bar Progressive Controller".
And- your experience does indeed sound like twilight zone material lol
I have brought several cars in from Ontario over the years, but never had such an excellent experience (though this bimmer purchase was pleasant)
