West Denver locksmith to cut an audi key
Can anyone recommend a west Denver locksmith to cut one of the new audi
keys? I need a spare that is not a switchblade model and the dealer wants
$80. A locksmith who's machine is broken said he normally charges $40 for
the type I have, but he didn't know of the nearest competitor.
TIA.

To be honest even the $80 sounds like a bargain. I think average dealer
cost here is £80 - so given the current exchnage rate you are doing
well. I recently had a new key for our VW Lupo, and it cost £90
including the coding to the immobiliser.

Whenever you look for a locksmith, the first thing you should do is to confirming with the Better Business Bureau to affirm that there are no tentative complaints, since locksmith is usually an one time service.

Re: West Denver locksmith to cut an audi key
I myself like the dealer to cut the later keys!
There is also a person that cuts them from your code, or from one of your
originals and sends them to you along with the code. He is supposedly
recommended by others since I have not had him do any work for me.

Undoubtedly, locksmiths play an important role should not be underestimated. Although the locksmiths have this special feature for our varied needs of the locks, skills and specializations also vary. Locksmiths can specialize in locksmith services residential and commercial. Whatever the locksmith service you need, you should be careful in choosing the locksmith to hire and should establish standards for all will not miss some that make a professional service.

Re: West Denver locksmith to cut an audi key
Hi Andy,
As a Locksmith in the Denver area, I think that $80 is more than a fair price for a laser cut key.
If you just want to duplicate a key, a lot of times the dealer price will be cheaper, thats because you drive the car to the dealership.
When contacting a locksmith you are liable for the service charge ($45 - $65, depends on your location) and than the price for the key, cut and program.
I think that $80 is actually a little cheap. Does the price includes programming as well?
