Stupid Question...re Assured Warranty
Sorry if this is so simple.
What is the Assured Warranty?
I have a fading HUD display on my 2000 A6 and am now out of warranty. Is
this something that I should have to pay to get resolved?
Thanks for being gentle.

Re: Stupid Question...re Assured Warranty
Quick search in yahoo for "Audi Assured Warranty"
The Audi Assured window sticker is your guarantee that your pre-owned Audi
was thoroughly inspected and certified.
The Audi Assured Pre-Owned Limited Warranty begins on the date of the
Assured (pre-owned) purchase and extends for two years or until the vehicle
has traveled 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first. If your Assured Audi is
still covered under the original Factory Warranty, then the 24 months is
additional to any remaining original Factory Warranty up to 100,000 miles,
whichever comes first.

Ummm, I don't think so, I'm pretty sure it's simply two years from the date
of purchase, regardless if any of the original warranty remained. I'd like
to know for sure, but can't seem to get a straight answer. (I could still
have a warranty, yahoo!)

I'll answer myself this time. I thought the AA warranty was on top of any
remaining original warranty only in the US, but it's also here in Canada
too, from what I've just read a few minutes ago.

Re: Stupid Question...re Assured Warranty
At least for Audis purchased in the U.S., the Audi Assured Warrantee is for
2 years from the date of purchase or from the date the original new car
warrantee expires, whichever is later, so it can be for up to a maximum of 6
years or 100,000 miles.

I just bought an 2002 A4 last Saturday with 18,000 miles on it, Audi
Assured warranty, and I can confirm this is correct. I get the
balance of the factory warranty (the car was originally put into
service December 01, so I get two more years or 32,000 miles,
whichever comes first, of the original 4 year/50,000 mile warranty),
which includes all maintenance and a loaner car, THEN the Audi Assured
warranty starts and runs for two years, up to 100,000 miles. I think I
get Road Service during some of this time too. The AA warranty does
have a $50 deductible, but still, that's pretty good coverage.
