service indicator!
Anyone any suggestions?
I have an A8 4.2 Quattro (96) - my service indicator reads 'In 1' - telling
me a service is due.
I recently had the car serviced at an ' Audi specialist', he told me he had
tried to reset this but it kept returning to this reading. Also my brakes
were checked at this service and the rear replaced but a red brake warning
light comes on occasionally on start-up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like he didn't reset it, and that he also either didn't fill-up the
brake fluid correctly or left something undone.
Get it to someone qualified, Real Soon.. I'd suggest that you also think
about have them change the brake fluid, just as a precaution.
