You may want to check AC hoses. I had a similar experience in a vehicle in
which the drain hose for the AC had a leak and it would drain into the
passenger foot well. No odor as it is only condensed water.

I missed the start of this thread (only just subscribed) but I once had
another cause of water in the left front foot well of my Audi 80: It
turned out that the drain under the hood was blocked with leaves, so
rain flowing off the windscreen wasn't drained but leaked into the car.
I don't even have an AC.. it was just rain water

I missed the start of this thread (only just subscribed) but I once had
