intermittent powersteering assistance A6
95 A6Avant 2.8Q
Power steering feed hose split
New hose 2nd hand pump installed.
Now have intermittent assistance. loosely related to engine RPM......but not
always.
There is some power assistance so pump must be generating some pressure but
not consistent.
Don't know if I have Servotronic don't know how to find out either.
Any ideas appreciated

You have air in the rack and lines.
With engine running turn the steering wheel back and forth lock-to-lock a few times.
