This is fairly common with the new A8L, I think there is a tolerance
with the air suspension.
This topic was discussed on the A8 forum on Audiworld.
You're not the only one with slight differences between left and
right.

Re: A8 L 2004 listing 1 cm to starboard
While I'd just enjoy the old marbles, I think it might be better to just
park the car front to rear and rear to front - having previously marked
where the wheels sit on the first instance of parking - and you'll find very
easily and most scientifically that it is just the diagonally opposite wheel
arch that lists by exactly the same amount.
Anyway, with that kinda car you might also want to check whether it's not
just a roll of bucks that's sitting in the wrong place thus totally
imbalancing the vehicle. If that's so, I'm sure both Steve and I will be
willing to help you get rid of your nuisance

Don't forget to check for cargo in the backseat and trunk.

Re: A8 L 2004 listing 1 cm to starboard
Yep, I was the OP on Audiworld. I was only able to get one other A8 owner to
measure and he has more lean than I do. I also got a suggestion on that board
to measure the lean standing still with the drivers seat occupied. This
diminishes the lean to 2-3 mm.
