99 Audi A4 1.8T Check Engine Light
The check engine light started blinking. The A4 has lost power and shakes
at low RPM. Have you had this problem and what was the cause? The dealer
didn't want to speculate over the phone but mentioned that the coil may be
malfunctioning.

"The coil"? Doesn't your engine actually have *four* coils?
All kinds of potential causes - could be a MAF sensor going to Heaven, could
be O2 sensor, could be you left the gas cap loose or the oil dip stick out.
Dumping ECU codes will give you a solid clue...

All kinds of potential causes - could be a MAF sensor going to Heaven, could
be O2 sensor, could be you left the gas cap loose or the oil dip stick out.
Dumping ECU codes will give you a solid clue...

With a blinking CEL, I'm not sure it's safe to drive to the dealer, you
might have to get it towed. If you have Quattro, make sure they use a
flatbed.
