2004 S4, paddles or buttons?
The Audi website says the S4 has "A smooth as silk six-speed manual or
six-speed Tiptronic® automatic with race-bred steering wheel paddle shifting"
yet I saw a 2004 yesterday with buttons, not paddles. Has anyone seen one with
paddles?
Thanks.

Powertrains and Performance:
All S4s are fitted with a 4.2-liter, 340-horsepower V8 that channels the
power to Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system through either a six-speed
manual gearbox or a six-speed Tiptronic automatic. The latter transmission
allows manual-style shifting via steering wheel-mounted paddles. Audi claims
that an S4 sedan equipped with the manual tranny can sprint from zero to 60
mph in 5.6 seconds, making this one of the quickest sedans available.

Re: 2004 S4, paddles or buttons?
They might have changed to paddles to buttons for production. Edmunds and
other car reviewers might have tested the pre-production verison.
