A5 2010 engine does not start, winter, no ignition
Hi Audi owners and fans,
I need your help,
I have an Audi A5 2010 Sline quattro (3.2L).
Today, I entered the car and tried to push the start button and the engine did not start.
It is winter time -10 degres celcius. I washed the car yesterday and never had that problem before.
The car recognize the key, All the electronic is working including the radio.
When I enter the key on the slot it seems to recognize it but no ignition is being done. No noise of the engine or sparks.
Now the brake is hard and I cannot push it more than 1/2''. When I press the lock button it locks the car but do not do the beep sound anymore (I don't know If I made it worst now).
I installed a heater on the front of the car to see if maybe something was frozen because I washed the car yesterday but no success.
The car is parked in a driveway with the handbrake ON.
Please does anyone has an idea why it won't start?
If I get the car towed, will they damaged the car because the handbrake is ON and I cannot take it out (sloped drive way)
Thank you very much for your help.

Re: A5 2010 engine does not start, winter, no ignition
Sounds like you have a low battery, the ECU probably prevents the car from starting at low batter because it uses RAM and draining to too much can cause problems.
Try charging the battery, if you can search the appropriate way to do that, or you may need a new battery.
