Joining the Audi family - bought me a new A3 e tron
I'm happy to say that I've just bought my 1st brand new Audi and it's the e tron.
Delivery date is Sat Feb 27th.
I probably made up my mind more than a month ago, but I had to do my due diligence and look at all the alternatives. Compared various EV's, BEV's, and old school Honda hybrids (no Toyota's though - not a fan). Even looked at economy cars. But after doing the math, getting feedback from current owners and reading a lot of reviews/forums, the e tron works for me (especially with the gov rebate!).
Now it's time to see if my number crunching is right (I forecasted a savings of $150 to $200 a month - not buying gas).
Question to EV owners in the Toronto (GTA) / Durham area. Any recommendations on an electrician for installing the 240v outlet?

Double check with dealer, mine was told it had to be done by an Audi certified installer, otherwise it could void the warranty. Nice choice, I just got the exact same.

Hi George3283
I had a neighbour, who's an electrician, put a 240 v in my garage so I can just connect the charging unit to it.
Obviously it does the job and I get to charge my car in 2 1/2 hours. I'm fortunate to have CS's relatively close to my work (~1km/10 min walk away) so I use those for the drive home.
How has your e-tron treated you so far?
I've now connected with 3 or 4 other e-tron owners in T.O. on forums. It would be nice to meet up one day.
Check out audizine.com, it's an Audi community with a lot of owners in the GTA. They do a meet up on the last Thurs of every month at Home Depot (Dufferin and Wilson).
