Default Experience activating DRL via MMI for inspection

Hi all,

I'm importing a 2008 A6 Avant from Virginia. After considerable research into a VAG to activate DRL and do the mileage conversion I discovered today that I could easily toggle both these options via the MMI!

Does anyone have experience using this simple toggle to pass Canadian inspection? I just want to make sure there is not a difference between the US spec version of 'DRL' and the Canadian inspection standard.

Regards,
J

I brought in an a5 and got through with the DRL activated in MMI and set to metric on the display. My inspector was looking for a button on the dash or console. He didn't find it and I didn't help him find it. Close enough!

Good luck with it. Let us know how you make out with the inspection.

Importation was trouble free. I used the MMI to adjust measurements from imperial to metric and switch on the DRL.

A6 is now a Canadian car!

Now comes the tough part, Audi University to learn how to run everything. Any pictures?
Enjoy the ride, congratulations.

So far have greatly enjoyed having the MMI and the car drives like a dream.

No issues operating the unit but it actually killed the bluetooth in my Blackberry (seemingly a common, non-Audi specific issue with the Blackberry Tour)...

No pics yet but I'll post up when I have a chance to wash it next!

Multi-Media Interface. It's Audi's in-dash nav/bluetooth/entertainment/configuration unit.

I just passed federal inspection by changing DRL through MMI.

Great, so are you going to run with them on or off?
