Default Drivers door problem

When I open the door the car doesn't seem to recognize it (lights don't turn on) as oppossed to the other doors. All buttons and lights on the door function. On top of that when I close my drivers door(if I dont close it softly) it won't fully close

Default Re: Drivers door problem

I have the same problem except on the passenger side door. I understand that the door latch is faulty and needs replacement to resolve fully but it seems to be an expensive job. I have been getting by with shooting it with silicon lube once in a while to have it latch but lights still doesn't come on.;-(
