Cooling Fans won't stop. Need Help!
The cooling fans won't stop spinning. The car is not overeating, and the temperature is always the way it should be. Sometimes they go on even after the car has been sitting for a while and when the engine is cold. The battery gauge goes down to 12 and below after they start turning full speed. Could somebody tell me if I need to replace the auxiliary fan switch or is there something else that needs attention.
Also, the oil temperature gauge stays always at the bottom even when driving for a longer time. First it used to go to the proper position and then it would fall. Now it doesn't move any more and I am wondering if anybody knows what the problem might be. Is it the oil temperature switch?
I appreciate your help!

Common problems, very typical.
What is the heating state when the fan is on?
Fans should stop if the heating is off.
The t. gauge gets a signal from CTS- there should be 4 wires - 2 for ECU, 2 for t. gauge.
Mine gauge gets ok after engine wash.
CEL supposed to be on if CTS is on.
CTS is known to be non-reliable for years and models.

When the cooling fans go on, they stay on no matter what the heating temperature is.
I tried turning off the heat and they still remain on.
I appreciate all your help.

Where are you located?
If you plan to DIY:
Get the DTC (diagnostic trouble codes ) scanned.
Get repair manual.
Get familiarity with the car or get to a repair shop
CTS-coolant temperature sensor
ECU-engine control module (computer)
CEL-check engine light or MIL -malfunction indicator light
