A6 cluster swap

A6 cluster swap
I have replaced instrument cluster of my 2000 A6 2.5TDI.
I am unable to make the necessary programming to pair up the cluster with the ECU.
With K+CAN and VAG COM I am able to read the pin-codes, make everything as described by Ross-Tech BUT, the cluster doesn't seem to respond and learn from the ECU.
Then, the ECU's reading doesn't come up with the 14-digit's Immobilizer-code, nor the vehicle's VIN code eighter.
I'm beginning to start thinking that my vehicle will never start again as it has been sitting in my garage since may, unwilling to start. It has also been towed to a dealer workshop who just scratched their heads and billed me with a €600 invoice.
Has anyone got some experience with this?
