Default a6 2.7t body role and other issues

I resently put on 18"s with 8mm spacers

i now have an bad squeak when i steer, the ties bottom out on the fenders when i hit a mild bump, and around the corners the body roles like mad.

the car is 10 years old, so im assuming a new set of shocks should be in order,
but any other ideas?

thanks

Did the car have any of those symptoms with the original wheels? I have 18" wheels on my 2002, no spacers and none of your troubles.

No it didnt have any issues before. I put 2000km on the car after the change with no issues, they just resently started after a trip to montreal.

I have to use the spacers because the rims wont clear the calipers

Good to hear, that is about how many KM's I got out of my Yoko Avid Envigor before they went off

Recommend detailed inspection of entire front suspension and may as well inspect rear suspension too. Squeaks over bumps are typically failing front control arms. Rubbing front tires on fenders could be broken front springs causing front end to sit lower (your tires are oversized so that may likely be a factor). Excessive body roll is typically failing springs / shocks and or sway bar end links / bushing issues.

okay, thanks ko4
something strange happened tonight, i was taking a corner, when i here this big poping noise, thought it was a tire, kept driving for a minuts and everthing was fine.
i get home and i look under the car and there is this 8" long by 1/4" wide round peice of steel, with a flat head on it (looks like a big nail with no point). just behind the front tire in the trim.

Does this sound like a famillar part or just something my car picked off the road?
