Bose stereo question

Re: Bose stereo question
My son had my old A6 - 1997 CSQ - and wanted the big sound stereo and had to pull eveything out as the speakers are grounded differently. The head unit was replaced along with all the speakers and a boom box in the trunk. Talk to your local expert installer and they will probably roll there eyes! It is alot of work.

Re: Bose stereo question
I have been doing a lot of research on this the last couple days. I ordered the tools for the radio so I can take it out and I ordered a line output converter so I will we able to have RCA out on the back of it. However the line output converter is supposed to hook up to the back speaker wires and i do not believe they run to the head unit directly. Do you know? If not I will continue my research or wait till the tools get here and look on the back of it.
anywho..... thanks for the help!
I was also reading about the bose system. Its weird... the speakers run on 1 ohm or .5 ohm... something crazy. So i dont want to get a new head unit unless I replace everything like you said. A new head unit would be 2 ohm or 4 ohm and would make the stock speakers sound worse than they do now.
