Angry PLEASE HELP - Switch Engine Off and Check Oil Level

Hey Guys,

Just sold my bimmer and picked up a 2009 A4 2.0t.

Beautiful car, without a doubt BUT its day 2 and I already have a damn sensor that didn't come up when test driving the car ... Now maybe its because the oil change was done at a shop that wasn't fit for the sophisticated components of an Audi.

Details:

Oil change was done before delivery of the car to me couple days ago with synthetic oil. ( when I went back with the error message they didn't have a way to check it but did show me it was done with synthetic. )

I drove for a day and on the second one I got a warning (only at low speeds) " Switch Engine Off and Check Oil Levels"

When I check (heated engine, tuned off, wait 2 mins) I get on MMI that the levels are OK.

I took it to Audi and a tech checked the oil level with a dip stick, it read 20 which he said was fine. (said it should be at 24 and this wouldn't cause an error code.)

NOW..

What he said was that it was an oil Pressure problem not level.. and I can risk doing majorr damage to the car driving it.. but he also said there's no weird noises so it could be something small.

If you guys can help please would be greatly appreciated, I'd hate to damage my engine two days in...

Please and Thank you !

Adrian.

+ I get a warning when over 4000rpm it states "Dont exceed engine max speed of 4000rpm"
-- I guess another indication of an oil pressure problem..

let me know what you guys think !

Thanks

Get it scanned, it is really tough to say what it is, it should be throwing codes and telling you what it is. Use the search button to find a list of VAG-COM owners on here and find someone near you. Get it scanned and give us some codes so we can help you out.

Hey guys, so since I bought the car I had warranty.. Thankfully I got a new b8 engine in place of mine.

It could be a faulty oil pres switch but in my case it was like the sludge problem, metal shavings where found in the oil tank and it was due to a malfunctioning oil pump.

Hope you guys can find a solution

Let me know if you need it.
