Painted Brake Calipers and Decals

Painted Brake Calipers and Decals
I can't take credit for this, as an original idea... I noticed a few other guys had done it, and thought it looked fantastic, so I decided to try it myself. I'm happy with the results.
On a scale of 1 - 10 for difficulty, I'd rate this as a 2 (easy).
First, I painted my calipers black, using a Duplicolor Kit ($25 at Canadian Tire).
Then I ordered some decals from a guy, on eBay. His eBay username is: pescaradesivi. He ships from Italy, but they arrived in 4 days!
The decals were quite easy to apply. I messed up the first one (I'd recommend ordering a couple sets). After applying the decal, I sprayed over the caliper with clear coat, to seal it.
It's subtle with the wheel on... but still looks cool!

Re: Painted Brake Calipers and Decals
Sorry for not responding to the questions (super busy with work these days)...
1. I painted with the caliper still on (didn't remove it). Just use the brush that comes with the DupliColor Kit, and take your time. It's actually pretty easy.
2. When I ordered the decals from the fellow on eBay, he sent me a set of them. I believe his set had three different sizes. I used the middle size decal.
3. It's been exactly 5 months since I did this mod, and it is still holding out fine. About a week ago, I noticed they were looking a bit dirty, so I sprayed some Simple Green on them, and they came up like new! The trick, is to spray a clear coat over the whole caliper, after you apply the decal. This seals it in.
