New car tyre pressure!

New car tyre pressure!
Hi, with the weather getting cooler I decided to check our new cars tyres. I was expecting to put some more air in now its a little cooler. I was stunned to find all four tyres were at 45 psi!!! BTW I have the 19 inch wheels on it and the recommended pressure is up to 35 psi.
I am a little shocked that dealer would let a new vehicle go out the door with tyres that have obviously either not been checked or inflated by an idiot!!
Anyone else have issues like this!!
PS I do usually do my own wheel work, inflating, changing for winter etc.

Re: New car tyre pressure!
Yes 45 psi is shocking!
Good thing that you found this out at the right time, before your tires started to wear unevenly. I don't check my tires pressure too often but I know I had the right number when I picked up my car.
