I have made a deal on a "09 demo A4- prem. with tech, audi drive select and B&O sound pkgs.
10400 k's , extended 120 k warrenty and dropped over 10 k on the list.
I let u know what I think about tracktion and performance once I test it in the the East Coast Winter this year.

I was under the same situation as you, until I factored in the Quattro. Don't get me wrong, the 328iX is an amazing car. The acceleration is superb and is definitely a driver's car. But the A4 was more comfortable to drive, the interior is gorgeous and the best feature is the Quattro. I took the car out for a test drive on the highway (401) in the rain and it handled great. Took it on the streets and it felt solid. The only problem I had with the A4 was the blind spots (the back of the head seat covers the back window. This is why I got the Tech Pkg. Blind spot indicator included. I can't wait to take delivery of the car. Hope that helps in time.

 

if its any indication, my first model year E90 is proving to have less issues than my second model year B8...

 

Do any B8 owners on this board experience the dreaded shimmy/vibration problems that is documented on AZ and AW?

 

Just another point, how long has the x-drive been out? no where as long as quattro. that would be an issuse as well.

 

I don't know about you guys...but the new A4 is just getting too big to be called a compact sports sedan

I definitely prefer the older B6 platform or even the B7 platform at the very least over the B8 platform...the interior is absolutely beautiful in the B8...but its just so damn long...its looks like an A6...size wise i mean...

also i agree with everyone on the quattro being superior to the x-drive

but i have to say...even though some might get pissed at me :P...the new BMW 3 series and even the new C class Benz looks much more sportier than the new B8 A4...

but I guess thats why Audi started to release the A5 to appeal to people who want the more sporty look...

 

I completely agree. When I was purchasing my car (used) I saw a deal on the B7, but preferred the B6 body style becuase I found that they were starting to lose their "sportyness" - personal opinion, please no *******.

My boss just purchased a BMW 335i, and it is by far more "sportier" than the A4 - it is the coupe model so that adds to it as well, but really sporty and nice looking car.

I agree, I find that the A4's are moving away from that sporty look to more of a sedan.

The B8 is a great family car. It's definitely not a purely fun car.
