2010 Premium - ipod cable for AMI?
If anybody's taken delivery of a 2010 Premium yet, I'm just wondering if the Ipod cable is supposed to come with the Premium's AMI. I didn't find one and just wondering if it was missing from the dealer prep or do I really need to buy my own.
I'm also missing the dummy key that goes in the glove compartment but I've already raised that with my sales rep.

Some dealers include it in the price and then include it with the cars, others do not. It's not meant to be included though. Raise enough of a stink about it and perhaps they'll throw it in.
CORRECTION: For 2010 You get the cable included...WOOHOO!

That's actually not true. AMI iPod cable is part of Premium package for MY2010.

picked up my dummy key today. Rep is still looking for my ipod cable. I'll be back next week to politely request that he grab me a fresh one from the Parts Dept if they still can't find it.

Sorry for asking this (I'm new to everything Audi) but what is the dummy key? and emergency key caddy? My wife and I are looking at the Audi A4 Premium + Tech.
Also, I've tried to use my iPhone with the AMI and the ipod cable but it wouldn't read my phone. Is there a different cable for the iPhone specifically? Thanks.

Hi
every vehicle comes with two master key fobs (composed of the electronic remote and metal skeleton key), and also a plastic skeleton key that you're supposed to keep in reserve. The plastic key will open doors etc in the eevent of an emergency, but you need the emergency key caddy in order to start the car. The emergency key caddy is basically a plastic shell that you slip the plastic key into so that you can put it in the ignition.
iphone + AMI --- I believe you need to use the cable with a blue grommet in order to use the music and bluetooth at the same time -- I don't have an iphone so I can't confirm for sure.
edit: also, I've picked up my ipod cable

As poker838 mentioned, along with your two master keys your Q5 should come with an emergency key (dummy key) and emergency key caddy. If your car is properly PDI'd the emergency key caddy should be installed in the glove box on the right side. (Side note: For older/other model Audi owners, the Advanced Key compatible Audi models no longer include a valet key for obvious reasons.)
The emergency key is a small composite key designed to fit in your wallet or wherever you would keep it. It can be used to manually unlock the driver's door and is inserted into the emergency key caddy to be used to start the car.
Just a thought: Which iPhone do you have? When I took delivery of my Q5 my iPhone 3G worked fine with the AMI. When I upgraded to the iPhone 3GS the AMI wouldn't see (read) the 3GS. A couple of weeks ago I took my Q5 in for an MMI software update for the Q5 which addressed the issue (and others.) The AMI now sees the 3GS works like it should. I would assume that as Apple and other companies update their hardware (and therefore firmware) Audi will have to run updates to the MMI software as well.
Here's a little more on what poker838 was talking about regarding AMI cables:
