Congrat to your new car, I believe the Audi Supplier Program is offset by the dealership by 3%, Audi is giving you 4%+Audi care. That being said, the dealer is giving you ~2700... discount, which is close to 5% in total... first month is free by Audi Canada. The deal is not bad, I believe it's about most of the deal goes...

Note that the 7% off only applies to cash or finance deals.

"I tinted the back windows all at 35% and the driver and passenger front side windows 50%. This will give a bit of an idea of how dark it is, although I believe it appears darker on a smaller, darker car with a dark interior. (Don't mind the dirt, it's clean now!)"

Regina_TTS - keeping anything clean these days is impossible - bad weekend to buy a new car - hard to show it off. Oh well.

I like the tinting on your TTS. I think the 50% for the front side windows is safer than going 35% as it's less likely to be noticed and result in being pulled over. I'm pretty sure the cops ignore 50% and less tint. Have you ever had a problem?

I also saw a white A4 in the showroom which I thought had both front and back side windows tinted (I guessed it was 50%). This surprised me as I thought the dealer couldn't sell a vehicle in Sask with any tinting on the front windows.

Who did your windows for you? Would you recommend them?

You're right, I'm overstating the portion of the discount provided by the dealer. Although, if we're talking discount off MSRP, this was what I received from Audi + dealership as a total discount.........( 7% of $45,000) + $1000 (additional discount) + first payment free ($500) = $4,650 discount.

I agree that not all of this is coming from the dealer - although I'm not sure I care as long as I get the discount (10.3% off MSRP).

I thought the supplier program (7%) apply to the total cost of the vehicle (MSRP of the base model + all the options).

afretes, can you confirm...?

in this case, for a prem model A4, with navi, tech, ADS, B&O and RSAB... 7% apply to 45000 or 54800?

Eho - my mistake, you're correct the 7% did apply to the entire purchase price (including options - i.e. $54,800) - so I did receive another $686 discount.

I'm in total agreement with you on using a lighter tint up front. It seems that the police are a little more lenient (knock on wood) towards a 50% tint up front.

The dealer had my tint done. Their guy is from a local shop and has a lot of experience and skill installing the tint, but is a little messy. Combine that with the dealer's clean-up crew not being quite as detail oriented as the average new Audi owner (or OCD in my case) and you might find a few foot prints on the carpet or dried soapy water drippings around the windows. If you can deal with that you will get a great tint job at an incredible price. Granted my TTS is smaller, it was around $200 to get the whole car done (in an afternoon.)

PM'd you.
