Default 1st Post - Contemplating 09 Purchase - Advice Appreciated

By way of introduction I am a long time Volvo driver (doubled up with an 01' Boxster for a couple of years at one point). I am am contemplating buying an 09' A4 privately from someone I know. Off hand I know that it has had the pistons/rings work done under warranty just under 120k. Car currently has 140k. Is there anything else in particular I should be looking out for and what is an estimate of a fair price - car has premium and technology package. Thanks.

My only other Audi experience was my fathers 1985 Audi 5000S so the fact I am contemplating an Audi is quite miraculous

I don't know what a fair price would be, but my 2010 was offered $15k in a trade in. That will give you some idea of what they can get from a dealer. I have had no issues with my A4 in the last 4 years other than the oil consumption issue.

Good luck! You will not regret it!

Hi guys. I own a 2009 A4 B8 Quattro Premium. I just want to let you guys know that my A4 has leaking multiple fuel injectors. Good thing is that Audi had extended warranty on that injectors last August for total of 10 years from in service date. So I got covered and will get that replaced this month. I believe that your current Audi A4 car owner will have that letter of extended warranty too so make sure you get it since all warranties are transferable.
PS: i took my car for service last month and told dealer that it gives little vibration on startup, giving a feel of a tractor and thats when they found the fault in injectors.

Overall the car is 10/10 in performance. I park it outside in -50 cold without any sort of heaters and crap and still starts in a sec. Audi is worth every penny I've spent.
