The '09 Audi is simply beautiful
I had a day-off and decided...why not head to the local Audi dealer to test-drive an '09 Audi. Well...I love it. They didn't have any manuals on the lot or for the test-drive. Apparently, Audi is only sending Auto's to the North America for the first bit until the manuals become available on the Spring. Not sure why they made that decision because it will hamper sales for a little while because I am not the type to buy an automatic no matter how nice the ride if a manual is going to be offered in the same car.
Anyway....I think I am sold on the car. I do like the integrated gadgets that comes with most of the packages being offered with possibly the exception of the NAV upgrade.
I guess I will have to wait to see what will be offered once the manuals come out because I am not going to consider purchasing until I test drive the car I want to buy.

Everyone that i've talked to thats driven it says they love it so far.
Good luck on the purchase if you decide to go ahead with it. Don't settle, wait for exactly what you want.

Re: The '09 Audi is simply beautiful
did you test the turbo one or the NA?
I am just curious to know what the big difference would be between the new one and the older ones. Everyone is raving the new ones...

Just picked up mine yesterday. 2009 A4 2.0T Premium.
I have to say this is one awesome vehicle. I am an "Audi-newbie", though, so perhaps I am easily impressed? I have owned 7 VWs, most recently Jetta Wagon TDI. This is my first car of this class.
First impressions...
It handles as if it is glued to the road. Amazing acceleration for the engine size (maybe that part of my first impressions is due to me having had 4 diesel VWs, put 150,000-250,000 km on each!!).
I find the instrumentation crisp and clear and easy to read. LOVE the hands-free bluetooth integrated: I can make and answer calls without removing my hands from the steering wheel, and calls can be made by voice commands. This is important for me, as often the only time I have to make and receive phone calls is while driving. Stereo is pretty good without the upgrade, depends how into that you are.
This car turns heads. I was at a client today, where the guys are all into cars and trucks, the higher end ones. Takes a lot to impress them. And they were all gathered around raving about how good it looks. Classy and sporty at the same time. The front LED driving lights are very cool.
There's some amazing systems built into it (...reading the owner's manual). Six-speed auto tarnsmission is adaptive, changes shifting pattern depending on how you drive (without the "drive select"option).
If you're looking for one, it seems like Crosby VW/Audi in Kitchener has a fair number of them. Ask for Sean.
Bottom line: I love it. Amazing vehicle.

Re: The '09 Audi is simply beautiful
yes...yes....yes.....pics please.
On another note, is the 2.0T the only car in the A4 series that will have the manual transmission? Also, the 2.0T with the turbo apparently has 13 ft lbs of torque over the 3.2 L FSI engine....
I know that one is turbo and another is naturally aspirated, so the larger V6 will probably pull it through, but won't the torque on the 4-cylinder give you that increased "ommph" factor when passing cars?
so.....any takers???
Curious, do any of you know of Ottawa has a Audi Club, or a group of Audi enthusiasts that get together and chat about Audi's?
