Default Wheel Offset

I know this most likely has been talked to death on here already but I can not find it. I have a 2007 A4 3.2 and am looking to upgrade wheels. I have found a set I like bit offset is different. Original is 17 inch wheels 7.5 wide. Offset is 43 ( well as far as I know is ) The wheels I want are 18 inch by 8.5 wide with an offset of 30. The vendoe of course says will fit no problem but I hate to buy ( fron States) and find they do not fit and or rub.
Anyone know if this will be a problem ?

Hey Larry,

The clearance from strut housing to the inside of the wheel will be the same and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 26mm.

Here's my source:

Wheel Offset Calculator

A handy tool to help you decide what width and offset you should use!

Good luck wheel hunting!

ET30 will likely rub on B6/B7's, unless you're not lowered, or have a very stiff suspension setup, or have quite a bit of negative camber dialed in.

Anyone know the offset to the stock 14 spoke BBS wheels on the 2006 a4/s4 models? (OEM Part number 8E0601025AN). I read 43mm but I'm trying to get a confirmation.

Thanks.

ETKA suggests it's 8x18 ET43.

Just want to say thanks to whoever made the wheel offset calculator, beauty.

And in case anyone still browsing this thread, curious as to:
- really, whether 17's would fit on an '07 A4 Quattro ( Avant S line ) considering the brake calipers and if so what offset should I be looking for
- woudl 8.5" wide 18's work with a 35 mm offset (seems it woudl bring the wheel precariously close to in line with / just past the fenders...

(I'm not looking to lower, or mod in any way, love the car factory set up as-is! - Problem is finding exactly what one wants in used parts for winter rims... )

Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.
