What to look for in a used A4 B7 (2006-2007)
Hi everyone,
My wife and I are looking to purchase a 2006-2007 A4 2.0T Quattro.
Can you please let us know if there are any specific things we should look for?
From reading the forums, I've noticed that potential issues include replacement of cam follower, coil packs, and plugs? Any other issues that we should be aware of?
Thanks in advance.

Are you getting it from a private or dealer
Regardless I would inquire if they have history/maintenance records, ask for carproof/carfax report and whatever you do have it fully inspected not only mechanic side but they will be able to tell you if it has been repainted...etc from hints like overspraying fumes
If from dealer do they offer an extended warranty and how much left you have if any on the 4 years/80,000km?

Look for any leaks under the car. If you see even a drop of liquid it is a big expense.
Sometimes it looks so innocent - well just 1 drop - and than when you go to fix it, the stealer tells you to pay thousands of dollars. So if you see a drop of whatever under the car tell them to check what it is and fix it.
Problem with AUDI is that it has so many parts and just to get to the part they take many hours. Now when they finally dismantle the part they tell you that since they "dropped the engine and transmission and the exhaust" you should do an extra $2,000.00 in mainenance.
