Its depends which parts you gonna use, OEM or aftermarket, then price can be diffrent.
For example for 1.8T or 2.0T only OEM parts can cost $750!
Just 2 cents

He said he would do the water pump for me for 95 plus 385 labour plus I should do the timing belt well he is at it for another $$$$

All I wanted was a heater core flush!
My car was fine before I went there and NOT fine after I left.

I am very disappointed in this place

I do not recommend them for the reasons above

Any good shops would have said the same thing. If you do your water pump, you might as well do your timing belt, since you have to remove the belt just to get to the water pump. It's not the shop, its the car itself that's expensive.

Another shop I'd strongly recommend is SEM Motorsports - Marco has treated me very well ...

I didn't meet Paul until after I got the timing belt done. But he saved me a tonne of cash on my steering rack replacement. I recommend you give him a call, he's a nice guy and very knowledgeable.

The price seemed fine and I agree if you do the water pump, you do the timing belt.

I was referring to the fact that i do not believe my waterpump was leaking prior to going there

I always find when i stay with my car and watch the mechanic my bill is much lower and no surprises
If I leave my car and go to work, I get a phone call about something they "found"
that needs to be replaced

Hey, RMP did a great job. They used Champion parts i believe. Water pump was all metal no plastic pieces. He did the tensioners, water pump, timing belt and serpentine belt for 750 all in. Great deal, same day service...nothing but good things to say. Even showed me the water pump and what mess it was (leaking everywhere). GLTA

That's a great price for the 3.0 V6. I paid around $300 more than you did...
