Summer is approaching - RIMS + TIRES suggetions please
So I am done with my all season tires on my stock 16" and will be getting into two wheel set up from now on. stock 16" for winter with some tires and aftermarket 18" for summer with tires.
Problem is I dont know what to get in terms of tires ?? I can narrow down in rims choice but tires are hard - so many kinds, brands, specs ......
Lets start with rim - have top 5 picks ( all gunmetal )
1. Enkei FN-18 LINK
2. OZ Superturismo LM LINK
3. Volx GTM LINK
4. 5Zigen PRORACER ZR+520 LINK
5. Borbet LV5 LINK
If you guys have any input on this list please let me know. Better, worst, value, performance and so on....
If you have anything else to suggest please do - open to something else as well
Well this takes care of rims - tires are totally different story here. I will ask you gentlemen on this topic. What would you suggest for any of rims above in tires combination. I have never owned any summer rims so I will have to read up a little on them
Thank you very much for any suggestions !!!

I like the Borbets think they look nice. As for tires get something name brand, some of the rim places offer packages with Nankang or Sunny tires... yuk!

I have a set of 18 s from oz, ultraleggera in matte black. Use one season and wanting to change to a rs4 style . They are pretty durable and really lightweight at around 19 pounds. Great shape to! No road rash.
Here is which ones they are -

With wheels it's simply a matter of taste, so do as you wish. Tires are critical though. Personally I like Michelins ultra high performance summer tires otherwise I'd go with Continentals high performance all season.
