Not sure what to say to that... If you can prove you've brought the car in for an oil eating problem and one day it blows up I'm sure you have some recourse. If you never brought it in because you heard it eats oil and it blows up one day I am not sure how that works.

Any way dealer says it is within spec to burn about 1 quart every 2-3000km... Just bring it in when the oil light comes on and we'll top it up for you. Wow.

I have never heard of any Volkswagen or Audi burning any oil. They just do not. I would take the spark plugs out and identify the cylinder that is leaking and show this to the dealer. It is possibly a bent valve or faulty valve nest. You may have a cracked piston ring as well. This will get worse in time and will cause uneven wear on the other engine parts. The spark plug on the bad cylinder will be black and oily.

Are you !@#$ing kidding me? B7/B8 A4's are WORLD RENOUND for being oil burners! Especially the 2.0T, which has a reputation of going through over a quart of oil in 1000miles in some cases. Some 2.0Ts are fine, some just burn tonnes of oil, I forget what the cutoff is for Audi in the TSB on it (yes there is a TSB on this very issue that you've never heard off) but I believe if you burn over 1Q in 1000miles they will look into it under warranty, otherwise you may be SOL. Just do a little searching on audizine about oil consumption issues.

I'm not saying 2L in 7000km is right, it most certainly is not... but it wouldn't be the first time I've heard a similar story.

LOL under warranty = no touch. Take it to Audi and complain. 2L in 7000km is WAY too much even for an Audi.
