I actually like the quality of the HID's but when I contacted them about possibly ordering another 55W kit, I was quoted $98 shipping (+tax and duties) for a $45 item. So I decided to go with VVME instead and got mine shipped to me for only $5 for a grand total of less than $60 for the kit!
i agree with the service thing, it took me 1 month to get my order, if they cannot process orders they should warn customers prior to placing orders, it seems they just wanna rake in cash while their at their peak of business.

my kits are still working on my cbr and maxima, better than buying from those ebay stores.

Update: it was the ballast. Replaced it, and so far everything works as expected. For anybody interested in buying the MTEC HID kit, and from my experience, make sure you get the bigger ballasts: they have the igniters incorporated, and an additional chip meant for European cars.

Garbage!

My MTEC kit is still messing up my eletricals. I can't even turn on the HIDs prior starting the car without tripping the Traction Control, ABS, etc... I will have to try that grounding fix linked earlier in this thread. If that doesn't work I will have to pull the MTEC kit out.

Yesterday was the worst error. I even got a 'left dipped headlight warning' and only my right headlight worked.

Sorry to hear that. What kit do you have, the one with separate igniters ?

That's the problem: the ones that you have, and I had, do not have the extra chip meant for European cars. This is what a guy from MTEC Canada (Edmonton - New Page 2) told me. I brought this to the attention of the guy who sold me the kip, and he replaced the ballasts free of charge (it's true, under warranty). Since then no errors. Where did you buy the kit ? I am asking because the guy from MTEC Canada told that they could try and help the customers who bought the kits in Canada.
