I did mine a year and a half ago and paied 120.00 for 6000k or 8 i cant remember, either way, one is out now and it's time to replace.
I heard the 55w are washed out more? 8000k looks like 6000?
Has anyone done the highbeams and lowbeams?

Awesome!! It sounded like BS but... I had a Tuscani at one point and I installed LED tails... come to find out if the tail light bulbs are out, cruise control stopped working completely! Weird thing. Either way... I'll add that back to the top off my mod list

I bought a conversion kit many years ago and put into my Z3. At the time, people always said go for the Phillips bulb and ballast and not the cheaper Korean/Chinese kits. My kit (Phillips) lasted 7 years with no problems what so ever.

Hid kits are so cheap these days it dosent really matter what company you go with most will last you a few years which is better than those sylvania sylverstar bulbs which cost almost $30 each and are nothing compared to HID and ive never had a silverstar last longer than a year.
As for the burnt out bulb warning you should be fine as long as you dont get a kit with a relay harness, those kits require you to only hook up one stock headlight harness which triggers the relay to turn the HID kit on which means the other stock harness is left unhooked and will trigger the warning.

I wanted a High Intensity Discharge kit which is a very cool light and better visibility especially during night driving. I opted to go with the single beam HID kit too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty so I got it here. sealed beam conversion kits , or you can try one of the vendors.

Re: replacing halogen lights with HID
Anybody in Vancouver want to recommend anyone for a install for my HIDs? I bought an MTEC kit. So far no luck in finding anyone to do it. It's like I am asking to walk on water.
