I have a 2007 A4 cabriolet in great condition and low mileage. She does everything right except getting the sound from my ipad onto the car audio.

I hooked up my ipad via Audi wireless, as per my instruction manual to a T and now while the car audio recognises the ipad fine, the sound doesn't sync. Had been hoping to listen to audiobooks and music on a few long road trips this summer but so far, the sound just doesn't come out of the car audio. Is my car too old for this? Or is there something I have missed?

Would love to hear from anyone who has managed to link up their ipad (or iphone) to their car and listen to audiobooks/music - especially while top is down and the wind drowns out anything coming from the ipad's teensy speakers. Any help for this non-tech driver would be truly appreciated.
