Default Cracked Leather seat

Just noticed this on the driver seat the other day.
Car only has 80,000k, on it and it seems a little weird to be wearing out so soon.

It's not ripped but looks like a "dried out" type of cracking.

Anyone else seen/experience this?
Suggestions on how to:
A) prevent it from cracking further
B) get it repaired

That looks more like a tear pattern to me, maybe keychain, a button on the back of your jeans or something to that nature.

Get it reupholstered, it WILL get larger overtime inevitably

I have a very tiny tear. Probably 1/8" long. I got this leather repair from walmart. What do you think? Didn't try it yet.

All A4 1.8T and 2.0T from 2002 till 2008 do that. The only A4's that dont do that are the 3.2l V6 since they have leather instead of vinyl.

This happened in my B6 as well. I've had it repaired by a mobile leather/vinyl repair guy before and it was ok for a while but the tear came back. Nothing to be done except recover the seat or get different seats.
