Burning oil and cylinder misfires?
A couple weeks ago I got a low engine oil light on my B7. I'm around 82,500kms I still have another 8000kms until my next service is due according to the service reminder (I'm covered under Audi Care to 115,000kms).
I last had service around 75,000. I burned about a litre of oil in 7500kms. I read Audi's TSB's and they're saying anything above 6500 is 'normal'.
I filled up with Mobil1 0w40 and will be taking it in for service soon. Now a few days ago, when it was around -10, I was backing out of my driveway and had two cylinder misfires. Sounds to me like the engine was too cold, but with the oil burning as quickly as it is, I'm a little paranoid.
Any thoughts?

Re: Burning oil and cylinder misfires?
Just got off the phone with the downtown dealership. Apparently anything under 1L / 2000km is 'normal'. Also, Esso gas is the cause of my misfires...and I should be using Petro / Shell....
Called Audi of Mississauga and they told me to monitor it, and if it happens agan they'll defintiely run an oil consumption test..definitely a more sensible approach.
