Hey guys,

I have a 07 A4 2.0T. I'm noticing something weird, maybe it's just me...hopefully you can share your experiences?

1) Start car
2) Immediately shift to reverse or drive

Does it kind of jerk? If you hold the brake, there is a couple second delay before it engages....

Is this just me? =( Thanks guys

I have an 08 A4 2.0T and am also experiencing the same thing as the OP. When shifting from R to D, there is a considerable lag (up to 2 seconds!) before it engages.

Yeah, and it's worse if you try and gas it. You get a horrible tranny jerk...sounds expensive.

 

Is it CVT?

 

I dont have the jerk problem in shift from R to D and steping it quick. but do have wuh i mentioned in a recent thread.

 

Hopefully I'm getting my car serviced within the next week so I'll see what they say after diagnostics.

 

no, sigh, not CVT, just tiptronic, and only these jerks happen only when I start the car and shift immediately....

Went to the dealer. My car with less than 30,000k needs a new tranny. I've only had it for 3000k....what a joke....thank god for warranty

 

my car had alot of tranny work done on it. it would come and go they would fix it and a few weeks it was back again . what a pain in the *** mine was a 02
