A4 clicking or ticking sound from passenger side
Hello all,
This is driving me nuts. When I am driving alone which is most of the time I hear ticking or clicking sounds coming from the passenger side. Sounds exactly like the sound that is made when you click on the electronic seat adjustments but the seat is not moving at all. When someone sits on the seat I don't hear anything.
I have tried to adjust the seat in different settings and same thing
Any ideas?

Try moving all adjustments the full range - forward/back, up/down,lumbar in/out. I guess the gears/sensors could stick due to accumulated grime etc. This full range movement should clear all that out and maybe everything will realign properly.
Also get a wrench in case any of the mounting bolts may have come slight loose - go around and snug up everything you can easily reach.

Mine's clicking too, found out it was the heater's trap trying to open/close to vent into the right place...must need a good cleaning...but it stops after a while...
Does yours go on the whole time?
