A4 2007 Convertible Top Error Message
Hi all,
Hoping those of you with an A4 cab can help me out. Many thanks in advance.
A few days ago, my roof went down fine but refused to close at the end of a long drive. Finally closed it manually & checked the fuse, which was ok. Then I re-tried the roof electronically. Again, it went down fine but refused to come up & close. Other than a continuous flashing roof sign on the dashboard, no other error message showed.
Took the car to the dealer this week. They tell me the scanner identified a break in a connection at one point - an "electrical fault". The top opened & closed fine when at the dealer, so they tried to erase the log, but it stayed. They tell me I should now have it checked out for possible recurrence/worsening, so I am now booked for a 2 hour diagnosis with them next week.
I was on a road trip, as usual taking way too much luggage than I should have. I wonder if any of the luggage pieces touching or pushing on the roof storage area may have caused the problem? Has anyone else had this problem?
Car: A4 Cabriolet 2007 2.0T Quattro
Many thanks & cheers.
