2008 A4 Avant Break Squeal
It is starting to get cold and wet again with some salt on the road and the rear breaks start squeaking again with every tap on the break - it is driving me INSANE!
I drove 10 year old BMW's, Mazdas, Hondas, I never had this issue.
Break pads and rotors were replaced at 15,000 km on the 2008 A4 Avant in the Spring, but here we go again. I'm no complainer, but this squeaking is driving me absolutely nuts - EVERY time I break.
Do you have the same problem with your A4? Have you found a solution?

Re: 2008 A4 Avant Break Squeal
I have an 08 2.0t SEDAN. my back brakes squeal, but only when it is very cold. Dealer says nothing wrong, it should clear out with wear. Under heavy braking, no noise... it's only the light braking - like when you are slowing down.

My brakes squeal too... 06 B7 A4 2.0T Sedan.
Dealer says nothing is wrong, these are normal sounds, blah blah...
I think the silicone that holds the pads in place has worn out.
I'll wait till I upgrade to Hawks HPS to re-apply some good old silicoooone and give my brakes some TLC.
It could be the spring that holds everything together, that may need replacement.
