Default Windshield Wipers

So, I've needed new wipers for the longest time, more so for the passenger side, so I haven't really bothered. Finally I went to Canadian Tire to pick some up, and they don't fit! I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, checked out the audi manual, checked out the instructions with the new blades, got my brother to check it out.

Leave it to Audi to have proprietary blade arms!

You have to go to the dealer to get replacement blades OR you can do what most did and replace the entire wiper arm assembly. I did this and im quite pleased since the OEM ones left streaks regardless if the blades were new or not. ECS sells a kit but you may have to pay brokerage fees... good luck!

haha, I knooooow! I just can't believe they did that though! My jetta was the J-hook, i figured Audi would have been similar, being the same company and all. What kind of company uses proprietary blade arms?! lol

I bought some Bosch from a local parts supplier, 35$ for both.

I read you have a 2004 you might have the Aero blades no?

Thumbs up Re: Windshield Wipers

Hey Move4audi, again, I had the same issue.
However, if you go to Princess Auto, they sell Reflex wiper blades (at half the audi price).
I believe the size you need is 21".
The blade is exactly the same as audi blades.
They have the usual multi fit adaptors. Throw the adaptors away.
Take the new blade and pry off carefully the plastic centre mount piece.
Do the same on your old audi blades (except the centre piece is aluminum).
Then press fit the reflex blade into the audi centre piece and slightly squeeze the centre piece onto the blade to make it secure (dont squeeze it too hard or the blade will leave a wipe track.
Hey presto! new audi blades at half the price!
Hope this helps?

I also need to replace my windshield wipers, I took a look at ECS and its $40 + 24 for shipping to Canada and $16 to ship to the states. Any suggestions for someone living in BC? Online or local is fine with me, just don't want to spend $60 for windshield wipers.

Ideallistically I would like to replace just the blades if possible but I noticed that the clip is missing on the passenger side. Would replacing the entire arm include the clip? If so, I would get the entire arm, if not, I would get just the blades and buy the clip seperately. Any suggestions?
