Which wheels to buy?

Re: Which wheels to buy?
That's a tough one to find out. I'll have to check with the dealership, but the "sport" rims for the B5 were supposed to be just over 20 lbs, the OZ's are 16 lbs.

I'd guess the OEM wheels are over 20 lbs. Based on that, the difference in accelleration, handling and ride will be noticeable. Although I find the OZ wheels look smaller than others of the same size, they're good wheels and I'd suggest going with the lightweight option ...

Well in all honesty i agree for you to wait a little and save for something better. Its just 1 inch upgrade and OZ will look a bit strange on audi. Those particular once at least, they just dont go with the body. I say wait till the summer and save up.
And sense you are in burlington, come down to mississauga and check the flea market, i seen brand new set of ikon for 500, look pretty good. Its a little off mavis and dundas
But if you have to buy either of those, OEM

Re: Which wheels to buy?
Hey thanks for all your input. I ended up going with the OE wheels, at least for now. They look great on the car, though it kills me to see them on lots of other cars in the area. I will say though that I could feel the difference right away in acceleration. So I may continue to search for different ones for next summer, we'll see.
It was mostly a money thing. This gave me summer tires, and allowed me to use my existing stock 16's for winter rims. Plus, I just wasn't sure on the look of the OZ's, like GeneKam said. Now I can take my time and keep an eye out for lighter wheels for next summer.
I do realize that the new tires would weigh more, too, going from 215's to 235's, so that plays into the weight as well.

Yes, my snow tires are Toyo Garrit HT's and I noticed right away that they were lighter, but again I was going back to 215 55 16's. I almost can't wait for snow!... but then it can go away again!
