Water inside Xenon headlight lens

Water inside Xenon headlight lens
My 2005 a4 came with Xenon headlights from the factory. Recently, after driving through some heavy rain, there is water on the inside of the headlight lens (both headlights).
Inside the lens is also quite dirty and I can't figure out how the water and dirt got in there. Does any one know how to get behind the lens to clean them, and what can be done to prevent the water from getting in ???

Re: Water inside Xenon headlight lens
Your headlights probably have a bad seal, you can bake the headlights and pry them open to clean in inside and then reseal them, but im to much of a wuss to do that myself haha. I also have this condensation issue due to holes i drilled for my HIDs but they clear after a day also i put in those silicon packets you find in beef jerky, they helped a bit haha.

Re: Water inside Xenon headlight lens
dont pry them open or anything, that is not the issue. Its an o-ring. Common problem with those headlights.
here is the diy to fix it.

Re: Water inside Xenon headlight lens
i just suggested to baking method when you said dirt was inside the headlights
But yeah, no point in doing that if its just the o-ring issue, haha sorry! :P
