Default Useful cup for useless cupholder?

Did anyone ever find a style of coffee cup that doesn't fly out of the dash cupholder? I'm tired of having my hand at the ready to catch a cup as I go around corners.

In Europe they simply do not have that stoopid thing popping out from the dash...only created one for us North Americans!
I did try it once until some of the coffee ended up all over the dashboard and thank god did not fry my sound system...
I simply do NOT drink or drive unless I really have to then i put my drink under my armrest as I lift it beforehand.

They do have those dash cupholders in Europe. My friends golf has one. Not 100% sure about the audi's, but vw has 'em

Doesn't work out too well with a manual trans. Gets in the way of shifting gears.

I'll take under the armrest instead of in the armrest any day...
