Transmission Control Module Repair
Looking for some help for my 03 A4.
About two weeks ago I wasn't able to put my car in reverse. Moving forward was fine. It happened again a week later. I brought it into the dealer and they said it was the Transmission Control Module. The part was $1,850 and installation would be another $500. The car only has 72,000 km's on it. The warranty expired in Jun 2007.
I've called Audi Canada looking for some help but I have yet to hear back from them but I'm assuming the worst. Questions for anyone who's had a similar problem and who live in Toronto:
1. What dealer did you get yours fixed and how much did it cost?
2. If it wasn't under warranty, did Audi Canada give you any help on the repair?
3. If I decide to fix this the cheap and cheerful way, can you recommend a non-audi dealer who knows what they're doing and may be able to source a used one from a auto-body/wrecker at a cheaper price?
Thanks in advance for your help...

Re: Transmission Control Module Repair
Hi, I saw your message.
I have a 2009 audi A4 and the PRND light keeps flashing and sometimes the transmission symbol comes up instead of the drive sign. The dealer mentioned that the TCM needs replacing.
Do you know where this is located on the vehicle?
How can I get it repaired / replaced.
Thanks
