Timing Fuse keeps Blowing Audi A4 2002 Quattro 1.8T
I changed the timing belt and while I was doing it I accidently broke the plug for the Cam sensor on the cam sensor itself.
So I put the wires back I think I got them the right way... anyway I tried to glue the plastic bit that stops the wires from contacting each other.
I didn't realise when I put the sensor back on the wires were touching each other. The car started for a second then stalled. I tried to start it again with no luck.. any way I bought a new cam sensor checked all the fuse and the 3 fuses for the timing in the dash board were all blown so I changed them and they are all ok except for fuse number 29 it keeps blowing like there is a short but I have looked and can't find it. I have checked the computers I was told that I would be able to see if the computer was blown and definitely smell it. I have pulled both computers out and they look and smell fine. but i haven't had them properly tested.
I have traced most of the wires and can not seem to find anything. could it be my coils?
The fuse blows even without the cam sensor plugged in.. Oh and every now and again my fans come on by them selves without the ignition even being on.. this only has started after my problem with the cam sensor.
