Shell 91 or petro(sunoco) 94?
Hi guys,
Yesterday I was reading thru the forums and read comments about how shell doesn't add any ethanol to their gas to raise the octane content. So I was wondering whether the 91 octane from shell would be better over petro canada (sunoco)s 94 octane? So far I have been putting in sunocos 94 if I can find it, but I'm debating whether I should change to shell or not.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

When you consider all the factors such as convenience, points cards, location and so on it really does come down to a personal thing. For me I use Shell because I have this thing against ethanol and only because of some research I have done. My car runs great on Shell but then again I notice no difference when I use another brand in a pinch.

You would be safer with Petro Can for now since you are buried in snow. I think Petro Can has really good gas for winter, however they got me switched to Shell now and I add Rubbing Alcohol 99% to it when the temperature goes below minus 30.
If you want to buy it you need to ask pharmacist for it and they ask what do I need it for so my answer is that I use it to rub on Granpa.
