Default My 2002 a4 3.0 has a small oil leak plz reply soon

I just bought an 02 a4 3.0 and I have 2 more weeks for the dealership to fix known problems. They are replacing cady converter and I wondered from you guys what else could be wrong having a small inch circle sized oil leak. The car seems like its in really good shape (seems like just small problems but not much). Thanks a lot o yeah when they change my cady converter should I see about them changing 02 sensors as well?

Ummm if I were you I would ask for a computer scan from them for your car or even be more trust worthy and get someone with a vag com and scan it and get the problems fixed

my cady converter is about to fail, too.
How much does it cost actually for that job if it is not under warranty?

Unfortunately that's not very diagnostic: it could be anything from the oil drain plug not torqued properly, to oil filter not torqued properly, to cracked oil pan...

O2 sensors are more prone to failure than the catalysts. However, I doubt it'd be warranty service unless the car's throwing codes related to those sensors.

Any codes that are thrown do not have to be related. I meant a general scan to see if there are any failiures or issues that the dealer isnt telling you

If your off 4 yr factory warranty and getting hard cat failed codes, dealer may replace cats on emissions warranty. Call 'em for more details. IIRC someone posted the emissions warranty mileage, could be 160K KMs but confirm yourself to be sure.

Thanks al ot for help. I found out from the audi dealership which is fixing my car that the CAM seals are leaking oil along with replacing both cat converters. I have about a week and a half before the dealership I bought the car from won't fix anything else. I want them to do alignment tests. Would a very Small crack in windshield turn into a bigger one due to stress? I would also like them to replace 02 sensors and timing belt. So you guys think I should ask about it? or am I lucky that they fixed oil leak and cat converters? Thanks a lot you guys. The oil change sticker from last change doesnt have a check for syntec. This worries me due to the first person that leased the car in 02 probably put synthetic in it. and i know about not being able to go from synthetic to regular oil. One more thing. my driver side door has a slight short in speaker. It has to be turned on volume 10 or above for it to work well. any ideas?
