Oh please tell me this 3.5 year old thread is still active. I drive a 2005 Audi A4 Quattrro. Bought used. Clutch blew in June 2009; repalced, including pressure plate. I recall it being like $3K. Two years later almost to the day, audi says time to replace. It's failing. (Symptoms: from dead stop to first, there is a grumbling/catching as I accelerate.) This garage has always been straight w/ me, and cut me deals. There's no way a clutch fails after 2 years and 25K miles, right? I know they'll say user error, but I think I drive fine. But then everyone does. I asked about a clutch inspection, adjustment about 6 mos ago when I suspected trouble. They said, nah, normal wear and tear. So they are quoting me $5-7K to repalce now. Thoughts?

370,000 and still on the original clutch. 1.8T now using 1 liter of oil every 10,000.
