Had a 1998 B5 A4, 2.8L V6 motor - clutch replaced at 120,000 km (vehicle was bought as a used CPO with 50,000 km so don't know how hard it was initially driven).

Re: How long did your clutch last??
I have to clarify for the dealer quote, They thought I needed a new tranny not a clutch thats why the diff was so much......
Still, trying to sell me a tranny when all I need is a clutch is pretty shaddy

Re: How long did your clutch last??
I've got an 2007 A4 2.0T with only 70k km on it and the clutch is slipping like crazy. I've had plenty of cars before and never had a clutch go so quickly. My wife and 18 year old son drive it once in a while but I can't image that it could deteriorate this quickly!

The thread is pretty old
started in 2008.
Well if you let a kid drive your audi, i guarantee that he will try to do a few launches here and there. taht will take off alot of life from the clutch.
mine went to 120 km so thats not bad at all in my opinion

Re: How long did your clutch last??
I am a new Audi owner with a 2004 A4 quattro 1.8T 128000 kms. My clutch peddal has a lot of travel before it engages. I understand that it is a hydraulic clutch. It does not seem to slip at all, but I am wondering if the long travel of the peddal is an indication of clutch wear or just the setup.

Re: How long did your clutch last??
Try a brake fluid power flush including flushing the Master and Slave Hydraulic cylinders for the clutch. This may help the clutch pedal feel if your fluid is old and accumulating moisture due to hygroscopic nature of brake fluid. Brake fluid should be replaced every two years.
